The diet of Miss Prejean/Miss California and her fruit.
If you peruse through my blogs you can usually read that they are not the normal ranting and raving of popular theological issues although I do write on those issues. The articles are usually theologically controversial and I tend to go after so-called Christians and their heresies. In other words anyone can write on general topics, like Islam, Mormonism, SDA, JW’s etc, etc, (and I do enjoy that as well) but I like to go against the flow and address people and issues that are more controversial and commentary seems to be off limits to many. It’s all in a days work to do my part in defending the faith from a historic Jewish perspective.
The matters I write about usually come across as harsh or mean because people in the evangelical church are either ignorant or have become numb and do not take certain issues seriously. And so, I like to hold their feet to the fire. It is time we stop holding hands while chanting “We Are The World” and return to Hymns with muscle and conviction such as “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God.” This is why I say that the bulk of my criticisms/complaints are with those within the modern evangelical Church and their departure from historic Biblical Judaism. I have also, at times, written on political people that appear to be a threat to Christianity on my other blog. Please note for any parents, this article may sound a bit harsh and may lack tenderness so I hope you use discretion if you allow children to read it. I have not included any links to Miss Prejean and her soft porn photos just so you know. It is not with the intent to be pornographic or filthy, but the article is primarily in the spirit of sarcasm and mockery and to expose (not that Miss Prejean needs any help with exposing, lol) a so-called “Christian” and her ungodly behavior. She claims to represent my God. But, she does not represent my God nor those who follow the Lord revealed in the Scriptures!
It is my habit of mocking so-called ‘Christians’ and their ‘Christianity’ and refuting those who give THE FAITH a bad name. I will try to use humor when I refer to body parts. But, keep in mind this article is written harshly not because of a model or her seductive line of bathing attire. No, it is primarily because she claims to be a Christian and dresses in such a manner that it is insulting to Christianity.
In this article I want to address several issues in varing degrees and without any specific order.
Hypocrisy.
Who is a Christian?
Does fruit alone determine who is a Christian? In other words, does love confirm the status of Christian?
Morals and ethics.
Vanity.
Biblical modesty.
Gays and lesbians.
The gospel.
As I write this article I am reminded of the words of a man named David Leyshon. Although his words are related to a different matter (suffering) they are just as applicable to this matter as well. They speak of those today who have formed God into their image and their likeness. I dont want you to get sidetracked when he uses the term suffering in his statement. I want you to hear, overall, what he is saying about the evangelicals/religious at large. I want you to read what he is saying about the general attitude of the, dare I say, Christian humanist. The so-called Christian who brings his or her baggage with them when they convert via a popular altar call or paper signing, etc, etc.
Leyshon says: “the modern world has not lagged behind previous generations in its propensity to think of God as it would like him to be. Amongst the varied idols produced by contemporary religious thought, the most popular is perhaps the “God” of sentimentality who masquerades as ‘love’.” Sickness, Suffering and Scripture. Pg 20
This brief statement applies to the moralists of the world who push their agendas in the name of Christianity, or to be fair, any religion for that matter. After all, most religions have some morals and some ethics that follow their peculiar doctrines
This ‘God of sentimentality’ is a God who is more concerned about how we live than what we believe. The popular statement “God hates the sin but loves the sinner” is mis representative and misleading because it is not biblical. It is as biblical as saying “cleanliness is next to godliness.” What nonsense to believe and/or teach that the Lord values our morals when they are under the banner of humanism and considered ‘dead works’.
This article is about the humanist/moralist attitude rampant in the lives of people professing to be Christians. And, because of this attitude, it gives the enemies of God reason to mis understand his gospel. Just read the blogs and see what pagans have said about Miss California and her statement. These bloggers appear to hate Christianity because they have a distorted view of what Christianity is really about due to Miss California and others before her and after her with the same heartfelt, unbiblical ideas.
It says to the world morals are some sort of proof that a person is a Christian and that, the gospel is about moral behaviors. The world believes morals equal Christianity. What of monkeys who clean the bugs from one another and treat the monkey family with kindness? Are the monkeys Christian monkeys?
This most recent issue involving Miss California just keeps eating at me. I am a believer in the Lord Yeshua and I am called to defend the faith. Miss Prejean, aka Miss California, claims to be a Christian. But with most so-called Christians what does that mean in today’s world? How does she define Christianity? How would she define an evangelical? I am also willing to bet that if you put a challenge to her and ask her to define the doctrine of justification she would give you a blank stare or ramble something that has nothing to do with the term found in Romans Chapter 5.
Yes, it is true that we must have good fruit, but fruit is the result of the root. I cannot emphasize this enough for the reader to understanding root must always come first. What you believe will result in some type of final product. But, the product can be genuine or counterfeit. What we believe doctrinally will result in either what appears to be good fruit or will be good fruit. What do I mean? Religious doctrine will produce religious fruit. Sound doctrine will produce sound fruit. To say it another way, our fruit does not reveal sound doctrine. Sound doctrine reveals fruit that will last and this is where the world gets it wrong.
Anyone can love. After all, we are made in the image of God. A self designated atheist can love his or her family. Those in the cult of Mormonism love their families. But, it is the root that tells us who has the fruit. Do they have love as a result of God loving them first or do they have a love that is common to all men? I am sure Miss Prejean ‘loves’ people and she is not being hateful when she says marriage is between a man and a woman. Why? Probably because the Bible tells her so. But, what does she believe doctrinally?
No one is saying Miss Prejean does not have some type of fruit. But, the fruit she has revealed to the world is her fruit. They are her convictions merged into her view of Christianity. Why can I say this? Because, as I will point out later, she has no problem with displaying her body to the world. Apparently, she highlighted the passage in the Bible that speaks of marriage belonging only to a man and a woman (and she is correct) but, at the same time she took a black marker to the passage that speaks of the modesty of a woman in 1 Timothy 2.
Her root says to me that her ‘God’ is more concerned about marriage than how a woman is to dress. I think I have beaten a dead horse and I must push on. Let it be known that “fruits” do not prove one is a Christian. It is the root, the doctrine or teachings that will reveal either godly fruit or humanistic fruit. Miss Prejean is guilty of the same thing many others are. They play ‘Bible Bingo’. If they agree with a passage they will keep it. If a passage ruffles their feathers then they dump it. This is common behavior with many who claim to be Christian.
Eenie Meenie Miney Moe, this passage stays, but this one must go.
Most Roman Catholics do good deeds and the world believes this is good fruit. We see this in their push to have abortion stopped. I am sure there are also Mormons who push pro-life as well. But, their roots are rotten. Because their roots are rotten there is schism within. There is no consistency within false organizations. Their fruit is what I call ‘personal/organizational fruit’. Just like Christianity, even within these false religions there are always individuals who dont follow the organizational doctrines. It becomes religious situational ethics. For example, yes I am a Roman Catholic, but I believe in choice. I believe in freewill.
We just saw this when Notre Dame gave an award to the pro-choice President. Did anyone see the Pope exercise his authority as a so-called pro-lifer, a defender of life? For a man who lays claim to being the Vicar of Christ, it is apparent that his “Christ” is also involved in situational ethics.
Did anyone in the RC Church in authority have a word with the Notre Dame person who extended the invitation for the President to have a platform in which he could use his demonic powers of persuausion? What of the puppets within the Roman Catholic Church who were in attendance? Are they not pro-lifers? They were like the bobbleheads in the back of the car. When the President said we need to continue the dialog, he was really saying I am pro-choice and you will have it my way or no way at all. The people in the audience were probably saying ‘amen’ to the pagan views of a President.
My point is that hypocrisy is not limited to Christians or so-called Christians like Prejean. One cannot claim to be a Christian and say it is ok to kill babies.
I cannot help but recall the story in Exodus 1;
Hypocrisy, in fairness, is in everyone. The question is not what would Jesus do. The question is, do you fear God? The midwives feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt commanded. In this case, the President is the king of America and we know that he is pro-choice because he does not fear God. You cannot fear God unless you know God.
Exo 1:15-17; And the king of Egypt said to the midwives of the Hebrews, of whom the name of one was Shiphrah, and the name of the second, Puah; and he said, When you midwife the Hebrew women, and look on the birth-stools, if it is a son, you will kill him; and if it is a daughter, it shall live. And the midwives feared God, and they did not do as the king of Egypt said to them. And they kept the male children alive.
What does this have to do with Prejean? Hang on, i’m trying to draw a parallel. The fact that the Pope did not step in and allowed the king of America to preach murder is the fruit of an unregenerated person. I expect the President to do what pagans do best and it is my expectation that he would take a position to kill babies. But, (here is the parallel) the Pope is recognized by the world (not by me!) as a so-called Christian. His fruit is the result of his doctrine. Does he fear God? Hardly.
My parallel is similar. The Pope is only concerned about the convictions he believes are right and that means there will be times when God has to take a back seat in the matter. Study the wars done in the name of Romes ‘Christianity’, in the name of their God and you can see where politics come first and then religion. We can expect this behavior from Islam because they worship the Moon god, but we do not expect murder from professing Christians in the name of the God of the Bible. Likewise, as the professing Christian Prejean claims to be I have an expectation for her to dress as a godly woman. But, Miss Prejean is only a Christian as far as her personal convictions will allow her to go.
Miss Prejean is representing herself as a Christian (just like the Pope) and campaigns for the male and female marriage, but has decided to muzzle her God and put him in the back seat when it comes to Christian modesty. Her convictions dictate her fruit. I will talk more about the instruction of dress to a godly woman later on in the article. My point goes back to the issue of fruit.
A fruit usually agrees with an organization or vice versa. This is where we must examine what I call the root. The Scripture would say ‘the tree’. The tree determines the fruit. The tree is the doctrine. Secondly, in the following passage you will note an important statement by the Lord. Did the person who comes to the Lord follow their convictions and pursue their agenda? Did they decide to begin a moral ministry or did they do the will of God? It is the ones who find, follow and finish the will of the Father. Not the religious who follow their own heart’s convictions first and merge them into what they believe is the Christian life.
In the end, it is the fruit of personal convictions. Miss Prejean is showing the world what type of tree she has by her fruit. But, the reader must realize that these people are no more saved than hoppy toads! They will be the ones to come to the Lord and say didn’t we do this and didn’t we do that? The issue is not what one did. The issue is what one did as a result of the root, as a result of their doctrine. There is such an attitude to quote Matthew 7 ‘you shall know them by their fruits’, but this MUST include consideration of the tree. Is it a sound doctrinal tree?
Mat 7:16 From their fruits you shall know them. Do they gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? So every good tree produces good fruits, but the corrupt tree produces evil fruits. A good tree cannot produce evil fruits, nor a corrupt tree produce good fruits. Every tree not producing good fruit is cut down and is thrown into fire. Then surely from their fruits you shall know them. Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter into the kingdom of Heaven, but the ones who do the will of My Father in Heaven.
When that day comes and these people say ”Lord, Lord” where does the passage say they were doctrinally sound? They come with fruit, but what did they believe? Miss Prejean will come to the Lord and say Lord, I took a stand against gay marriage? He will look at her doctrine and say “depart from me worker of iniquity, I never knew you. The gospel is not a moral crusade.
We must examine both the fruit and the root. Counterfeit fruit is rampant. In todays stores there are fruit trees and plants that look like the real thing, but when you examine them closely you will see they are fraudulent. You must examine! We must do this with people. They must define their terms. What is it they believe about the gospel? Does their fruit correspond with their doctrine?
HER CHURCH
Let’s see what diet Miss California receives. Former ball pros that turn into Pastors and church leaders always catch my eyes and ears. Just see what damage Promise Keepers has done to the Church with their ecumenicalism. (That’s another issue)
The Pastor?
Miles McPherson is a man radically transformed by God. Even after fulfilling his youthful dreams of a successful collegiate football career and playing in the NFL, Miles was spiritually empty and on a path of destruction in the form of cocaine use. During his second season in the NFL, two of Miles’ teammates, Sherman Smith and Ray Preston, told him about God’s amazing love and grace. Wow, what a prescription for conversion!! He learned about God’s amazing love and grace and later had an “encounter with the person of Jesus Christ.” Why didn’t I get such a break? I had to hear the gospel message preached and repent of my idolatry and turn to trusting in the substitutionary atonement provided at no charge as a gift from the Messiah. I didn’t get to see Jesus. Not fair! Why is it Muhammad, Joseph Smith and Miles get these encounters? Oh Phooey!
After reviewing the so-called church she attends I had to look at the store. I was amazed at the amount of humanistic books they sell. To their credit they did have a brief (as brief as Miss California’s swimsuit) doctrinal statement that was ok. They had one decent author (John MacArthur) but the theology section was basically a desert if I was looking for sound theology. I found only one book on systematic theology and wouldn’t you know it, it couldn’t be someone decent like B.B. Warfield or Louis Berkhof or Wayne Grudem. It was Norman Geisler, aka, Roman Geisler who runs SES in Charlotte NC.
If you want to convince yourself he is a Christian in the true sense of the meaning fine, I have problems with any so-called Protestant who uses Roman Catholic apologetics to defend Christianity. (And we all should.) I also find it troublesome and dangerous to trust this man who graduated from a Roman Catholic (Jesuit to be specific) Seminary who is now writing, and has written numerous books for the evangelical Church. Is he the devil in disguise or just good at playing the hypocrite?
Of course there were books by Dr. James Dobson who I call Dr. Fraudson the Freudian. Where would a seeker friendly church be without books by Dave Ramsey and bios on Johnny Cash? And of course, the man I disdain was also on the bookstore menu, C.S. Lewis, the man who continues to be above criticism because he was so eloquent in speech just like N.T. Wright is today. Lewis was a Roman Catholic at heart and was no protestant. Anyone who desires extreme unction from a Priest DOES NOT know the gospel! (Boy do I go off on bunny trails)
Oh by the way they did have a clothing section in the store and I was hoping they sold some modest clothing for Miss California, but I was wrong. They had T-shirts with goofy evanjellyfish comments like “Do Some Thing.”
I take the time to tell about the congregation Prejean attends to show what sort of diet she is getting. I almost forgot to mention some of the ministries they offer and the one I got a kick out of was the “Dog Lovers Ministry.”
“The Dog Lovers Ministry exists to allow dog owners to fellowship with others in a fun, casual atmosphere. It is also a way for believers to have an opportunity to invite their non-believing friends to a relaxed function. We invite owners and their four-legged friends to come join us for some fun, fellowship, and worship at one of the local dog beaches. It’s also a great time to invite some of your friends who don’t go to church and maybe need something really relaxed and casual so they don’t feel intimidated.
“Hey George, I realize you don’t like church, but I wanted to invite you and your unbelieving dog to a fun and casual atmosphere and we can talk about, um, something non offensive? Bring your feefee or foofoo so we can relax and worship the god you don’t love?” I can see it now-the Apostles Paul and Peter get together at a park while in the City of Galatia and have a doggy ministry outreach.
Another ministry I got a kick out of was called the;
Same Sex Attraction Ministry (Truth, Love, and Compassion)
Reaching the gay community for Christ, and to help believers who struggle with same-sex issues walk firmly and victoriously in Christ.
I am just curious how they pull this off? Do they tell men and women “repent, go and sin no more and turn to the Lord for salvation” or do they have a plan to reduce the amount of encounters? How can you reduce encounters when you practically set up a dating service imho? I think where I almost vomited was their statement that God dearly loves homosexuals as children of God and this is an environment where they can freely come and continue to walk with Christ. You tell me what you read in the following;
“Designed to facilitate those struggling with same-issues so that they can freely come and continue to walk with Christ. Structure to help them learn to live as true overcomers who are dearly loved Children of God, and to assist them to walk seriously with God in His true, transparent, life-changing love.”
So, does the church have those who are said in the words of Paul; and some of you were these things, but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God. what does it mean when they say “walk seriously?”
The text in its context says this:
1 Corinthians 6:9-11; or do you not know that unjust ones will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be led astray, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous ones, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor plunderers shall inherit the kingdom of God. And some of you were these things, but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.
Moving on, what am I upset about? What’s eating at me? As I said earlier, this article is done because of her (Miss Prejean) claims to being a Christian.
Please note; Had she been a garden variety pagan with no faith in the Messiah I would leave her to the world she loves and the world where I expect women to dress indecent. But, because she takes the title “Christian” and her Pastor sees no need in rebuking her, I don’t have that problem. We call this chutzpa in Yiddish and apparently it is lacking in the evangelical movement. Therefore, I will speak out against the faith that she wants the world to believe is Christianity.
Miss Prejean’s defensive position that all is well as a Christian to run around before the world in a bikini to show off her body and her conviction that this is appropriate behavior for a believer is awful. And then, in turn, to turn around and become ethical when it comes to her position on marriage and gays? Is she serious? This is exactly what the Messiah condemned in Matthew 7 regarding hypocritical judgment.
Matthew 7:1-5; “Stop judging, so that you won’t be judged. For with the judgment you use, you will be judged. And with the measure you use, you will be measured. “Why do you see the speck in your brother’s eye but fail to notice the beam in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when the beam is in your own eye? You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you will see clearly enough to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”
The Messiah does not condemn righteous and fair judging, but he does condemn a person who is living wrong and pointing the finger at another. Is it ethical for her to alter her body and add rubber buggy baby bumpers to her boob area and walk along half naked for the entire world to see and at the same time, criticize gay marriage. That is hypocrisy! That is what they call “situational ethics.” May I say, neither of these issues are situational ethics. Both are addressed in the Scriptures not subject to individual interpretation and are non-negotiable.
THE MEDIA
I think she said something on Fox News like; in California it’s no big deal to wear a bikini. It’s the norm. As if that justifies a Christian’s behavior.
As I just mentioned, to make matters even more blown out of proportion (lol) revealing her vain heart the Huffington Report confirms Miss Prejean was in desire to have some material added to her bosoms.
Friday morning a Miss California Pageant official confirmed previous reports that controversial contestant Carrie Prejean received free breast implants, organized and paid for by the pageant, weeks before the Miss USA competition. In an interview on “The Early Show,” Keith Lewis, the co-Director of the Miss California Pageant, admitted to helping Prejean get the boob job.
“We assisted when Carrie came to us and voiced the interest in having the procedure done,” Lewis told “Early Show” co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez. “We want to put her in the best possible confidence in order to present herself in the best possible light on a national stage.” http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/05/01/miss-californias-breast-i_n_194385.html
Is this vanity? To desire the desires that we don’t have. “Sure my god made me what I am but I am not happy to go before the world with just being half naked.” I will add some “oomph” to my breasts so all the world can see how I fixed my god’s mistake in making me wrong the first time.
Christianity says;
1 John 2:15-16; Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world–the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions–is not from the Father but is from the world.
On another side note, this just has to fuel the fire to those serious Muslims who take the modesty of women very seriously. May I add, they go to the other extreme where they make their women to appear like “cousin It” from the Adams family all dressed up with the peek a boo eyes. When the Muslim’s turn on the “boob tube” (no pun intended) to see how “Christians” can bare their bodies in the name of Christianity what horror and what shame we bring upon Christianity. Although I oppose Islam as a false religion, their prophet as a false prophet and their Moon god as a false god, I get upset that they think Miss California speaks for me. I get upset when they watch TV and have disdain for my religion that claims to have the monopoly on salvation, but has women flaunting their shapes and sizes.
To any Muslim reading this, you will see she does not represent the Scriptures or the God of the Bible. This is not only an issue that gives Christianity a black eye to those who are the enemies of God, consider in contrast the modesty of the women in false religions. What does it say when Mormons and JW’s dress more modestly than those who claim to know the truth?
Biblical fruit tells the world whether or not a particular person is or is not a part of the worlds system. Prejean’s fruit is not biblical fruit and I will talk about that later. Her conduct as a believer is not Christian. The Lord is not pleased to see women running around showing off their bodies which in turn causes men to covet and lust. I wonder if Miss Prejean has read how God dealt with women who were drawing attention to themselves?
I am reminded of a passage in Isaiah 3:16-24
The LORD said: Because the daughters of Zion are haughty and walk with outstretched necks, glancing wantonly with their eyes, mincing along as they go, tinkling with their feet, therefore the Lord will strike with a scab the heads of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will lay bare their secret parts. In that day the Lord will take away the finery of the anklets, the headbands, and the crescents; the pendants, the bracelets, and the scarves; the headdresses, the armlets, the sashes, the perfume boxes, and the amulets; the signet rings and nose rings; the festal robes, the mantles, the cloaks, and the handbags; the mirrors, the linen garments, the turbans, and the veils. Instead of perfume there will be rottenness; and instead of a belt, a rope; and instead of well-set hair, baldness; and instead of a rich robe, a skirt of sackcloth; and branding instead of beauty.
I am also reminded of a passage of Scripture that I believe is appropriate due to the many other younger/immature women who are exposed to this “christian” attitude maintained by Prejean. Girls who are still playing with their Barbie dolls and believe it is ok to walk around half naked as christians. Prejean may have an influence upon them and she will give an account.
I remember while sitting under the deceased Dr. Walter Martin who was asked the question by a Christian parent in the Bible study; “what do I tell my son who is asking to smoke cigars?”
“Why does he want to smoke cigars asked Walter?”
The Father answered, “because, my son has watched Gene Scott on TV and Gene Scott claims to be a christian and he smokes on TV.” So why cant he?”
Matthew and Luke address young children or those we would also call damsels.
Matthew 18:6-10; If anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a large millstone were hung around his neck and he were drowned at the bottom of the sea. How terrible it will be for the world because it causes people to sin! Temptations to sin are bound to happen, but how terrible it will be for that person who causes someone to sin! “So if your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life injured or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire. And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell fire. “See to it that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you, their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.
Luke 17:1-2 and he said to his disciples, “Temptations to sin are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come! It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin.
What will Christian parents do when their 8 year old says “mommy, mommy, I want breast implants and I want to be shown half naked around the globe like Miss California. I want to start an organization called “Hot bods for Christ.” “But don’t worry mommy, I will speak up against gay marriage because I love my god.”
These passages are not limited to Miss America alone so please don’t think I am isolating them only for her. They are, in general, applicable to every person who causes a little one to be tempted.
I’ll begin with a Biblical concept, that is to say, any time a person draws attention to them, they in turn steal glory from God. That is idolatry. Miss California meets the qualifications as she draws eyeballs and thoughts to herself and her three quarter nude figure. A figure that can be a stumbling block even to an adult man! (And woman in this day and age)
She is revealing to the entire world her figure with small portions of fabric that could also qualify as underwear which can cause a man to drool over and covet. Please don’t think a man is holding a beer in his hand as he watches the pageant with other men and he says to the other men; “Look Grant, what fine stature she has and her posture is unremarkable. The bathing suit is such good taste and so modest for a Christian.” “Yes says Simon, she also has a remarkable and structured walk on that runway and is, in my mind, very stylish.”
NO! Speaking as a man who was not always a believer, He is looking at the surgery that refined her bosoms. He is looking at her %#@*&. Enough said!
Before I talk about the character of a godly woman and the commands of Scripture I thought I would first handle her attitude and her defense. Then I want to deal with the moralism that she portrays as Christianity. A counterfeit Christianity that is rampant in the Western world.
And, before I forget, I am also upset that the so called fair and balanced “Fox News” constantly portrays her as a victim in personal interviews as they constantly show her bikini shot as well as the photos that some call “racy” but they are really “soft porn.”
You just gotta love those Roman Catholics, i.e. Mr. Vanity and the no spin spinster “O’Reilly who are hot hot, hot against abortion but equally Hot, Hot Hot about interviewing her and see no problem with a women exposing her body. FOX has left the fair and balanced news and become the fair and balanced entertainment tonight. I wish I had counted the number of times Fox has either spoken of or brought Prejean on the show and publically displayed those soft porn photos. It has become a show and tell scenario. Guess where you may see Vanity and O’Reilly the next day? Probably at Mass?
And then, if Fox News can’t defend her actions enough they will bring on other women who sympathize with Prejean, who also display their bodies to the world. Like asking a prostitute to comment on behalf of a woman who is pictured in playboy. What criticism would possibly come from that? Birds of a feather! Fair and balanced? Why not have a genuine Christian like me or John MacArthur on the show to talk about the instructions to Christian women from the Scriptures? Nope, they find like minded people to defend her actions. To put it another way, it is likened to a Prostitute coming on the show to defend another prostitute who is outspoken against gay marriage. Suzy Sleaze says in defense of Lucy Loose; “I don’t see what the problem is, Lucy is an upright person. Marriage is between a man and a woman. Lucy Loose is a good Christian woman and she should have the freedom to express her Christian values. I have to go now I have a 4:30 appointment with Joe.” No, I am not calling Prejean a prostitute, but I want to draw a parallel.
She (Prejean) says the photos should not have been taken. But read closely at her statements.
On MSNBC she said;
“On the morning after Donald Trump declared she could keep her crown as Miss California USA, Carrie Prejean admitted that there may be more revealing photos of her than just the two sets that almost cost her her job.
“I’ve done many photo shoots, Matt,” Prejean told TODAY’s Matt Lauer Wednesday in New York. She said that sometimes photographers continue to take pictures when she’s dressing. “It would be like a photographer going into my dressing room and snapping a photo of me without my being aware of it. If a photographer is willing to make an extra buck and did get a photo of me, so be it.”

But, she says later on in the NSNBC interview the following;
At the Tuesday press conference, Prejean has said that the latest revealing photos were taken during what she thought was a break in a shoot on a wind-swept cliff. She is wearing a tiny vest in the pictures, and in some of them, the vest is blown away from her breasts. She expanded on that story Wednesday, emphasizing that the photographer was not authorized to sell pictures of her topless.
“I was right on a cliff. The wind was blowing. It was just the photographer and I,” Prejean said. “I should have been a little bit smarter. I shouldn’t have been there, probably, alone with him. But I was making adjustments … it was basically a wardrobe malfunction.” http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/30718342
Did you catch that? The pictures were unauthorized, but, so be it. He had to make a buck somehow. Aw, ignorance is bliss! She says she should not have been there alone and I should have been a little smarter? It was in the middle of a break? Really? And a wardrobe can malfunction? I looked at the pictures from several angles and do not see where it appears she is yelling wait, wait, wardrobe malfunction as her hands immediately go to cover the bosoms. She was on a break? Maybe the photographer was an amateur and was shooting very slow film at very slow intervals? I don’t want to give you a picture of me, but had someone in the football locker room pulled down my boxers, my hands would not be running through my hair. They would immediately go to the exposed area to preserve my conservatism.
How many of us are that stupid? Did she file a complaint? Did she go on record that she had to yell at the photographer for crossing the line? I have not read that yet. How many of you women sit near the ocean and bare your beautiful twins on film with a seductive look while your hands are in your hair? If she did not want her soon to be jello fill ins exposed don’t you think her hands would be covering her breasts and not running through her hair? She then says “if a photographer is willing to make an extra buck and did get a photo of me, so be it.” “So be it?” In other words, it is what it is and he has a right to make a buck. That does not communicate modesty to me.
Then Prejean is interviewed by Dr, James Fraudson, the humanist/moralist/Freudian who runs Focus on the humanist Family. In the interview Prejean says;
“I felt as though Satan was trying to tempt me in asking me this question,” she said on Dobson’s radio show. “And then God was in my head and in my heart saying, ‘Do not compromise this. You need to stand up for me and you need to share with all these people … you need to witness to them and you need to show that you’re not willing to compromise that for this title of Miss USA.’ ”
Note to Prejean…Satan has bigger fish to fry and I doubt he was whispering sweet nothings to you on the platform. My question to you is how is it that your god was not on the beach with you telling you to remain modest as the Bible instructs godly women? How is it when you were on the beach with your bosoms exposed that your same god in the pageant wasn’t in your head at the beach saying; “Do not compromise this. You need to stand up for me and you need to share with all these people … you need to witness to them and you need to show that you’re not willing to compromise that for this title of Miss USA.’
I hear the Church Lady here…”How Conveeeeeinent!, how innnnnteresting”
Now, for the sake of argument let’s say we give her the benefit of the doubt? She is suing the photographer who was unauthorized to take those photos and the buck he made will become her buck right? She was clear and upfront about her twins, that they would never be exposed to a lens right? Anyone read that?
To continue the contemporary and compromising “new hybrid Christianity” you will note in the interview that Dr. Fraudson said
“We’re a ministry that believes in compassion,” he added. Dobson also explained to listeners that he invited Prejean to the program not to debate the merits of beauty pageants, the swimsuit competition or the profession of modeling but to let everyone know the “behind-the-scenes” story of Prejean’s famous answer.
But Prejean did mention during the broadcast that the experience has “definitely changed my whole perspective of ‘what is a beauty pageant’” and caused her to ask “why did I even do a pageant to begin with” and “what was my purpose in doing it?” Though Prejean was prepared to win the national beauty pageant when going into the competition, her chances were cut after judge Perez Hilton asked her the gay marriage question. After choosing to stay true to her values rather than respond with a politically correct answer, Prejean knew right after that she was not going to win Miss USA, she told Dobson.

Isn’t that interesting to the reader? The good so-called “Christian” Dr is not concerned in a correction or a rebuke over the swimsuit competition and her nudity. He is more interested in the gay marriage issue because that is what his audience wants to hear. Moralism moralism rah rah rah! Women who dress immodestly are above correction and criticism to Focus on the Family. Gay marriage is much more important than a woman claiming to be Christian dressing three quarters naked.
I cannot help but repeat the words of Prejean;
“You may be persecuted, you may be made fun of, you may be mocked and judged and told awful, awful names but at the end of the day you’re moving on with your life
Note to Prejean; persecution comes from believing doctrine and living the morals taught to us from the Scriptures! Not because you are on a moral marriage crusade. You have been persecuted, mocked, made fun of and judged for your ethics that are a result of the moralism diet from the so-called Christian congregation you attend in Californication. You are NOT being persecuted for righteousness sake or for the sake of the gospel! You have been mocked because you have made marriage more important than the gospel.
Now, as I continue, forgetting about her sleazy photo ops and the “he said she said”, all this was initiated on account of her position on gay marriage due to her so called “Christian” convictions.
In my opinion, genuine Christianity just received another black eye in the name of Jesus. What do people expect to hear when Prejean’s “Christianity” is really moralism? Prejean is caught up in the new Christianity or what I call the new evangelicalism. The “gospel light” as it has been called. Don’t smoke, don’t chew, and don’t go with girls that do. That is her Christianity.
Let me interject my position so there is no misunderstanding. Her response about gay marriage is not the gospel, nor does it have anything to do with the gospel. While I have no problem with her defining marriage as one man and one woman, one cannot be a hypocrite while on their crusade. The Bible is not shy when it comes to proper dress for a woman.
1 Timothy 2:9 Ὡσαύτως [καὶ] γυναῖκας ἐν καταστολῇ κοσμίῳ μετὰ αἰδοῦς καὶ σωφροσύνης κοσμεῖν ἑαυτάς, μὴ ἐν πλέγμασιν καὶ χρυσίῳ ἢ μαργαρίταις ἢ ἱματισμῷ πολυτελεῖ
You may say that’s all Greek to me and you are right! What this says is the following;
1 Timothy 2:9-10; So also the women to adorn themselves in proper clothing, with modesty and sensibleness, not with plaiting, or gold, or pearls, or expensive garments, but what becomes women professing fear of God, through good works.
The ESV reads it this way; likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, but with what is proper for women who profess godliness–with good works.
The Greek says to adorn themselves in respectable, modest or proper apparel. Because this is what is proper for women who profess themselves as Christians.
The word kosmeo means to array yourself in such a manner that it can embellish with honour or gain honour. The word for modest is the word kosmios. The word modest is not open to different interpretations as many would suggest because the word implies good behavior. Would Miss California wear her pageant wardrobe into her congregation? Why not? Why limit it to a pageant? Or is this a situational issue where church is modest, but the pageant is outside the scope of Christian behavior? Note to Prejean; Christian fruit for those who profess to be Christians is not a hobby for those who truly fear God. It is a way and manner of life. There is no part time wardrobe depending upon the location.
With propriety and moderation. Another translation reads with modesty and self control.
Aidos is pronounced ahee-doce. It means a sense of shame or honour, modesty, bashfulness, reverence and respect. The next word is sophrosune and is pronounced so-fros-oo’-nay. It can be summed up as soundness of mind.
Matthew Henry says this about that passage;
They must be very modest in their apparel, not affecting gaudiness, gaiety, or costliness (you may read the vanity of a person’s mind in the gaiety and gaudiness of their habits), because they have better ornaments with which they should adorn themselves, with good works. Note, Good works are the best ornament; these are, in the sight of God, of great price. Those that profess godliness should, in their dress, as well as other things, act as becomes their profession; instead of laying out their money on fine clothes, they must lay it out in works of piety and charity, which are properly called good works.
Peter also speaks up concerning the behavior of a professing Christian. He uses the same words Paul used which is the word kosmeo.
1 Peter 3:3-5; ὧν ἔστω οὐχ ὁ ἔξωθεν ἐμπλοκῆς τριχῶν καὶ περιθέσεως χρυσίων ἢ ἐνδύσεως ἱματίων κόσμος ἀλλ᾽ ὁ κρυπτὸς τῆς καρδίας ἄνθρωπος ἐν τῷ ἀφθάρτῳ τοῦ πραέως καὶ ἡσυχίου πνεύματος, ὅ ἐστιν ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ πολυτελές. οὕτως γάρ ποτε καὶ αἱ ἅγιαι γυναῖκες αἱ ἐλπίζουσαι εἰς θεὸν ἐκόσμουν ἑαυτάς ὑποτασσόμεναι τοῖς ἰδίοις ἀνδράσιν,
1 Peter 3:3-5; Do not let your adorning be external–the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear– but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious. For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting to their own husbands
This is the outward fruit of a Christian woman. It does not contain exceptions or an escape clause for women in pageants or women on the beach or anywhere for that matter.
I think I have said enough on the matter of modesty. Let me now talk a bit about the Book of Romans and the pagan world. We are not to run around being the moral police. God has given men and women over to their ungodly manners and actions because of idolatry. It is because men and women suppress the truth about God that they do what they do. Homosexuality, murder, adultery, fornication are all byproducts of idolatry.
Therefore, we do not go around telling men and women to repent of their manners. That is moralism and it is the personal act of cleaning their outside of the cup. We are to call men and women to repent of their idolatry. We are to command that men and women stop suppressing the truth of God and turn to him as savior and Lord through trusting in his life and death in our place.
This new Christianity seeks to make people “better people” and better people WILL NOT make it into God’s kingdom. “Hey, says Liberace, I stopped being a homosexual and I now attend church.” Did Liberace put all his trust in the gospel? “What gospel” says Liberace? “I just know I am not being a bad boy anymore.”
The twentieth century evanjellyfish cannot articulate the gospel and so they revert to moralism. They go on crusades to speak out against the homosexuals, but what about those who murder? The prisons are filled with violators. I am not saying we should not address homosexuality or abortion, but is this all there is? Do we communicate to the un-regenerated person why they are under the wrath of God or do we go after only the acts that make them evil? I cannot help but raise the issue of where our focus should always be and that is, telling men and women they are under God’s wrath because they continually hold down the truth of God, even though the knowledge of God is innate within them and the heavens declare God’s handiwork. They not only suppress the truth of God, in turn they find a substitute god. Money, career, their body, creation, animals, etc.
Romans 1:18-25; “For God’s wrath is revealed from Heaven on all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, holding the truth in unrighteousness, because the thing known of God is clearly known within them, for God revealed it to them. For the unseen things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things made, both His eternal power and Godhead, for them to be without excuse.
Because knowing God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful. But they became vain in their reasonings, and their undiscerning heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became foolish and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into a likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed animals, and creeping things.
Because of this, God gave them up to impurity in the lusts of their hearts, their bodies to be dishonored among themselves, who changed the truth of God into the lie, and worshiped and served the created thing more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
As you can read, God says; “so, you want to suppress the truth about me? Go for it! Let me extend to you also a bonus. Because you want nothing to do with me, I will give you over to impurity and your lusts and your desires you will seek.” You will be homosexuals because that is your desire. You will murder because that is your desire. You will disobey your parents because that is your desire.”
Romans 1 ends with the desires of men and women who have been given over to them by the hand of God.
Romans 1:26- 32; Because of this, God gave them up to dishonorable passions, for even their females changed the natural use to that contrary to nature. And likewise, the males also forsaking the natural use of the female burned in their lust toward one another, males with males working out shamefulness, and receiving back within themselves the reward which was fitting for their error. And even as they did not think fit to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do the things not right, having been filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, iniquity, covetousness, malice, being full of envy, murder, quarrels, deceit, evil habits, becoming whisperers, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, proud, braggarts, devisers of evil things, disobedient to parents, without discernment, covenant breakers, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful, who knowing the righteous order of God, that those practicing such things are worthy of death, not only do them, but also approve those practicing them.
This is why I laugh when certain people start certain ministries. Like the church Miss Prejean attends, they have a ministry to homosexuals. Homosexuality is not the problem! It is a byproduct or a fruit of a much greater problem. Read Romans 1. When men and women hear the wrath of God is upon them and understand they are left to their own destruction many will want the cure to the disease. It is the gospel that saves and not a homosexual ministry. Not a ministry that is political and pushes for the rights of the marriage of men and women alone.
If you are a homosexual or a lesbian who is reading this, let me be clear. God has given you over to the natural desires of your heart and having not believed the gospel you already been judged and already and condemned to eternal separation of God. Don’t let moralism type Christianity be the cause for your disdain for Christians. Moralism Christianity is not taught in the Scriptures. God sends men and women to the fires of hell due to their outright suppression of Him in the light of seeing his creation. Since mankind has slapped God in the face and ignores the beauty of His creation (and his creation will be a witness against you- read Psalm 19), that, is the issue at hand. All the other things an idolater does shall be bonus points added to the idolaters account.
The Book of Romans says there are a whole slew of sickly fruits men and women will do if left to themselves. Yours just happen to be the desire for the same sex. Others enjoy animals, others love to murder, others love to slander, etc. But, as you read the list, see how many things a reprobate mind will pursue. Reprobate is like saying depraved or rejected. It is a term used for metals. Suppose you go to the jeweler with a coin you say is gold. He will test it and if does not prove to be gold it will be rejected.
Turn to the Messiah and trust that he alone can save you from your idolatry. Believe in the God of creation and repent of your suppression of Him. He has no joy in the death of the wicked, but as a Just Judge, He cannot look upon idolatry and… there will be judgment. It is appointed for you and I to die one time only and then the judgment. The death toll is still one per person and we will all pay the toll.
The majority of moralists who campaign against homosexuality are hypocrites. They do not understand the gospel and so they seek to make you think you can undo what God has given you over to. The things that accompany idolatry.
Remember, Romans says he has given you over to things that should not be done. Religion does not save because it seeks to fix outward problems and outward sins. Just like going to AA and you never touch a drop of liquor again. That doesn’t mean a thing to God. Most people who are moralist give up one sin for another. Even if you turned from homosexuality, anger is also the fruit of idolatry. The problem is, we need new hearts and they are given to us when we look to the work of the Messiah.
You and I cannot undo our evil hearts. That is His job to change the heart. He alone can stop our heart from suppressing His truth and as a result of a genuine conversion in which a man or woman is born from above, the byproducts and fruits will become godly fruits. The regenerated person will begin to hate the things they used to love and love the things they used to hate. God will no longer give you over to your natural lusts and desire.
When the Son of man returns he has already said that it would be like the days of Sodom and Gomorrah. We are to find the sheep of God and give them the gospel because the sheep know they need the inoculation and they will come. Jesus promised that all that the Father has given to him shall come to him.
To conclude on a very serious note, the gospel alone has the power to save and not the political convictions or moral rampages of so-called Christians. Genuine conversion has never, let me repeat, has never been through the efforts of man. But, this is the popular remedy within 95 percent of the churches today.
God will receive all the glory in the end because no soul can boast or take credit for the work he will begin and he will finish. There will be no moralists in the kingdom of God. There will only be men and women who trusted in the finished work of the Son of God. There will only be people who have been justified by a judicial declaration from heaven. Their soul has been declared “not guilty” because the lamb of God lived the life I was commanded to live and he died the death that I deserved. This work, this substitution, is placed into my account and when I die I am to be in the kingdom of God. You can pay for your own sin or let the only perfect man do it for you.
If you are a ‘Miss California’ and attend a congregation like hers let me say this; If you fall under the system of Arminianism than more than likely you are a moralist who uses a partial Christian vocabulary. Arminianism is a heretical system and it stinks to high heaven of Roman Catholicism. You have been taught to approach people with the attitude God loves the sinner, but hates the sin. You have been lied to! God hates sinners. Idolatry is the root of sin and all mankind is born with the sin of Adam. We are born idolaters. Show me in the Scriptures where God sends sins to eternal destruction? I read that God sends idolaters to eternal destruction
We are dead in trespasses and sins and dead men can only do what dead men do. Nothing! Dead men cannot meet the requirements of God’s law and to attempt to do so or tell others that they can in order to please God is not only heresy it is also a waste of time. All your righteousness and righteous acts are like menstrual clothes. And you think you will stand before the throne of God with dirty, filthy rags and present them as good works?
Look around you and see the vast amount of religious people who fill the churches. They are only religious! They have found a friendly god who meets their needs. But, salvation is of the Lord! Not by mans choice or desire. Read John 1:12-13. Unless your soul is converted by God and his gospel, spend your time wisely. Eat, drink and be merry for the day of your death has been decreed. You will either have the robes given to you by God or you will attempt to bring your filthy robes with you.
He will not take into account your response about gay marriage or some ministry you began. He will look for the robes that he provided bearing his name. There is a specific fruit that comes with these robes. These robes are only given to the remnant who are believing in the person, nature and work of the Messiah.
Updated; Finally, finally I cannot help but see how the other moralists speak in defense of Prejean and her campaign. In the June/July edition of the Liberty Journal we see on page 50 a bunch of evanjellyfish who attended an event that takes place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The students gather at these ‘convocations’ to hear well known speakers across the globe and give their Christian perspectives on a range of topics. To testify, it says, about God’s work in their lives.
In the line-up on page 50 we have first–guess who? Wait for it, wait for it….YES, Carrie Prejean. She met together and sat down with Mr. Moral Jr (baby Falwell) who interviewed her. He asked her about her “bold choice she made to stand up for her faith at the pageant”. Hmm, stand up for ‘her faith’ is appropriate, but it is not the faith the Bible speaks of.
On this same page we find a team of moralists who have some kind of ministry/teaching. Hey, there is her pastor, Miles McPherson. Former NFL, turned to pastor by his decision/freewill after an encounter with jesus. What are the chances he would be on the same page? He was empty inside and decided to give his life to Christ. I am still looking for the phrase ‘give my life to Christ’. McPherson encouraged students (and I quote) “to be careful of the deceptions of Satan”. I’ll say, especially when modesty is concerned. Oops, missed that one didn’t he.
If you have an opportunity to read what these speakers said please dont miss it. Have a barf bag near by as you read of a gospel absent in the article. No mention of justification, just the Devil. Ron Luce, founder of Teen Mania Ministries, spoke of God giving Christians the ‘ability to have a creative imagination and they must weed out the dream killers, such as, bad media, computers and the internet…family members who discourage dreams.” Of course Gov. Huckabee was there along with Stephen Baldwin to promote the Christian Values Network. These may be nice people but nice people do not go to heaven. Those who have had a genuine conversion from God do. That means the conversion is not from mans decision, but comes by God’s decision.

Moralism by the bulk of professing Christians=good in their eyes.
God saves dead and lost sinners by his pre-destinating them to eternal life=bad in the eyes of the moralist. Moralism is the result of humanism and will produce only religious behavior. As I said earlier; these people are those who clean the outside of the cup and neglect the inside which is the heart of the matter. The heart must be replaced by God alone. Not our actions. These people do not understand the gospel and that is why they campaign for ethical/moral lifestyles under the banner of Jesus. This is why they have that stupid slogan WWJD. Become a better person and then you will get closer to Jesus. Do what Jesus did. That is their gospel. But, I know of atheists and people in AA who love their families and do not steal, have changed their lives, etc. But, they are no more saved than rocks.
The gospel alone has the power to save and this change takes place by God alone. It is the righteousness of God credited to our account that saves because we cannot produce anything good by God’s righteous standards.
Liberty University and all the other moralists are expected to defend Carrie Prejean because they are one in purpose. Liberty University is a breeding ground for moralism. They are expected to support her nudity because, after all, that is how God made her. “Half naked ladies for Christ” A ministry that will help other models know where to draw the line on soft porn? Why not? I’m sure Carrie believes she is doing the work of God right?
Wrong! He did not make her to display her body to all the world. Shame on her and on all those who see this as the acceptable behavior of a Christian.
In the words of John the Baptist;
Matthew 3:7-8 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Saducees coming to his baptism, he said to them “you children of serpents! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? produce fruit that is consistent with repentance.
Note to Carrie Prejean and all the fans who tickle her ears and tell her all is well; your nudity is sin and your fruit is not consistent with true repentance. Repent and turn from what your heart tells you is right because the heart is evil and desperately wicked. It must not be trusted. Only the Scriptures can be trusted.
