I read it many times, but I am still confused about what you wrote. The basic point to the article was that if Chava did lie, then there was sin before the fall. I argue that this cannot be. So Chava spoke the truth when she made her defense.

I think that you need to look at the fact that everyone sins even though we are with God. There is not one righteous, not even one (Romans 3:10). So Eve, under those circumstances, needed God's mercy and He gave it to her by allowing her to participate in bringing man into the world. God still considered her a vessel, that is, for the advancement of His kingdom. Do more research on 'prophets and prophetesses' because none of them were infallible. Check it out. You can contact me if you need to.

Comment on John Piper and Douglas Wilson- Baptist and Federal Vision together? The “unequally yoked” dynamic duo? by Moshe

Hello DJ
I understand your point and appreciate the spirit in which you commented. Please know, my name is not only on the line, but I must use caution so that I do not bear false witness against a brother, nor hurt the faith of another believer.

As you may have seen, this is a work in progress. Due to my health I have not been able to edit the almost 20000 word paper. In this response to you, let me briefly (maybe) respond to your comments and be as biblically as possible.

Nowhere in the writings are we told to stand back and wait to hold back judgment when it comes to heresy. I hope you would agree that heresy was dealt with swiftly under the Law of Moses and although we do not pick up stones under the New Covenant, nevertheless, the swiftness has not changed when it comes to contending for the faith. Once heresy is identified there is no grace period. Only the command to repent if the person is a believer. I have tried to contact Piper's ministry with my concerns and did not hear back.

This article, after explaining Wilson's heresy, will (at minimum) show that Piper is unequally yoked with a man (Wilson) who embraces Romish spinkling simply because Rome uses the tri-une formula. As it was brought out in the debate between White and Wilson, the gospel is not the deciding factor to determine who are our brothers and sisters in the Messiah, but the tri-une formula is.

As I continue to piece together Romes "trinity" I will show, using the same argument I would against a Mormon, the names are the same, but the definitions are quite different. For example, if Rome's Son of God, is said to be sacrificed every four minutes as a propitiatory sacrifice, then this is not the biblical Son of God. Therefore, if the person, nature or work for each person, (whether one or all) of what is called the Trinity have been changed or altered, then they do not have the trinity as defined by the Christians.
They have the Father, who does not believe the work was finished and so He allows a priest to call down His Son from heaven, to be sent to an altar;
the Son who did not complete the work of redemption on the cross;
the Holy Spirit, who is the spouse of the Holy Spirit according to Roman Catholicism.
That may be nit picking to some, but either each person, their nature and their work in the Christian trinity is accurately defined or it is no longer qualified to meet the orthodox definition. So, White was right on by bringing up the Mormon parallel.

Piper has gone on record stating Wilson, nor Tom Wright, preach another gospel. As I may or may not have posted yet, in the book called "Fools gold, there was a section concerning N.T. Wright written by Phil Johnson. Wright denies the doctrine of imputation. I hope you would agree that if we toss this doctrine we have attacked the meaning of the term "credited" or "reckoned". Wright has called imputation a "cold piece of business".

Let me conclude with this; getting back to Wilson's theology, if we do not understand what he means when he says the just shall live by faith, we will miss his heresy. What he means is; the just shall live by faithfulness. He does not believe the term justification is a legal and forensic term. He believes your personal works, you keeping yourself inside the covenant community, help complete justification. Thus, they use the words "final salvation". This is the reason for the book by Piper called "Future Grace". Piper says on pg. 206 (quoting Daniel Fuller) that a faith that looks back to Christ's death and resurrection is not sufficient.

That is a terrible/heretical statement to make.

This issue with Wilson, attacks God's calling and the security of the believer. It is baptismal regeneration when all is said and done. It is an abuse of John 15 where he tries to make his argument. I have said enough and I apologize for the length. Wilson is a heretic and if Piper is a bed partner with Wilson, then Piper shares in his judgment. Romans 16 tells believers to mark those who cause divisions and have nothing to do with them. Piper is either very, very ignorant, stupid, or he knows what Wilson believes and he endorses it. I will try and get more of the article on the blog regarding Wilson. We are not to be unequally yoked. We are to deal with the leven and get rid of it. Piper is opening doors for Wilson to have a greater and larger audience within the Baptist denominations. This is why I am shouting from the roof tops. I will listen to the link you gave. In the meantime, if you have not done so, listen to the CD of White and Wilson, especially the Q and A section. Wilson is a Devil. I don't care how much he says about Rome that sounds negative. If your spirit does not get provoked after hearing Wilson then I am not sure what to say. My spirit was quite upset because I saw between the fluff of Christian language.

Greetings Moshe,

As you may know, James White has a webcast program called The Dividing Line... On yesterday's program a guy called in on this topic and started cherry picking Piper quotes from his new book and asking Dr. White if he agreed/disagreed. Dr. White picked up immediately on the trap, but his comments may be useful to you. I don't think we can, should, or are justified in dropping the gavel on Dr. Piper just yet...

I, too am heavily in favor of watching all men until they have persevered to the end, but Piper has decades of sound Biblical teaching under his belt. I'm not saying this would counterbalance any false teaching that may come from his ministry, but I'm simply not convinced that we have a case against Piper when all things are considered.

Just something to consider. More on this later perhaps.

Grace and peace,

- DJ

Thank-you for writing this. I have often wondered why John was baptizing in the first place and where he got the idea.
I understand much more now.
